What is the ruling on sticking shoulder to shoulder and feet to feet in congregation prayer ? Is it Sunnah or Mandatory ?

ANSWER: It is a highly recommended sunnah but it won’t invalidate the prayer when not done.

If I say only “at-tahiyat” then realize I am supposed to go 2nd rak’ah then I go immediately to 2nd rak’ah while saying allahu akbar, do I need to offer sujud as-shau? If yes, is it after or before salam? Is it correct to say allahu akbar again or just stand up and start 2nd rak’ah?

ANSWER: You should do sujood as sahu for this mistake and should do it after salam and do another set of salam after sujood as sahu. Sujood As Sahu (Prostrations of Forgetfulness)

After reciting Surah Fatiha in the 1st and 2nd rak’ahs of the prayers and forgetting to recite another Surah, the prayers should be completed with Sahu Sijdah in the last sitting. But in this situation, if I forget to Sahu Sijdah and finish the prayers, do ihave to perform the prayers again?

ANSWER: Reciting another surah after fateha is not mandatory, even if you skip that deliberately, still your prayer would be valid, hence there is no sujood as sahu for skipping it.

In isha prayer i made a mistake i joined imam at 4th rakah after the salam i have to stand up and pray my 2nd rakah and sit at tashahhud but i forgot to sit at tashahhud and stand up straight for my 3rd rakah after standing i realised i forgot to sit so i sat down did tashahhud and completed my 3rd and 4th rakah at the end i did sajda sahu before salam is my prayer valid

ANSWER: What you did was wrong. It’s not permissible to sit down when you have already stood up for the rakah. Sheikh if i find the imam already risen from the ruku in the last rakah and joined him will I still be considered as someone who prayed in congregation or not

ANSWER: You didn’t catch the congregational prayer which is 27 times better than praying alone. However, you will be rewarded for whatever you caught with him and the other worshippers in Sha Allah.

As I’m doing an alimiyah course online from out of my home country, salah time is different…dye to classes my maghrib salah gets late almost by hour… but pray within the time. Am I sinful? Which one should I give priority to salah or knowledge of deen?

ANSWER: Of course you must first give preference to praying on time. What is the use of knowledge if it is not being practiced? This is the knowledge of the hypocrites.

While in prayer if by mistake you started reciting something which is not supposed to be recited at that position do you stop as soon as you realize or complete the verse and then stop? For example, reciting Alhamdulillahi Rabbil… but you’re in the sitting position and supposed to recite Attahiyyatu Lillaahil… so should one stop immediately or after completing the verse?

ANSWER: Stop immediately.

Sheikh, in the first rakah of Zuhr behind the Imam, I forgot to recite the Fateha, and out of ignorance I made Sujood as Sahu. Should I have instead stood up and prayed the first rakah again in this case?

ANSWER: You must repeat the whole prayer as you have missed a pillar and that rakah was invalid for missing the fatiha.

Sheikh, will we be sinful if we don’t respond to the adhan?

My university has a prayer room (small room). When it’s time for Adhan, is it permissible for me to switch off the recording and start doing LIVE adhan (Saying Adhan). Which is better? Live Adhan or recorded Adhan?

ANSWER: You can’t do that on your own as you do not own the university! Take permission from the administration and if they allow then it’s best to give live athan than from the recorded one.
