QUESTION: What it is the ruling of swallowing plegm that comes from nose does it affect my fast or salat if i swallow it i read if we swallow it from our mouth it invalidates fast and salat but can we intentionally swallow it from our nose directly to throat without letting in in our mouth and whats the ruling on sptting during salah likeif the phlemg from our nose enters the nose

ANSWER: If it goes from your nose up your nostrils and you swallow that, this has no impact on your fasting. But if it comes out of your nose and from there it enters your mouth and you swallow that, this breaks your fasting as if you are eating or drinking.

QUESTION: I have currently traveled from my city of residence (Muscat) to my hometown in India. In India, I just spend 2 months of vacation. Here, I have my own flat on rent since years and the house is well settled, as in, we don’t live out off the suitcase. I’m comfortably residing here. I’m wondering if I have to shorten my prayers, and if I can freely combine them.

ANSWER: No, its not permissible for you to shorten nor combine prayers! You must pray all your prayers full & on time

ANSWER: The hadeeth is referring to the fact that he wouldn’t offer a perfect prayer if he were to offer it home. However, his prayer is valid and he is still muslim but a sinful one.

QUESTION: Allah says in the Quran that the prayer keeps away from sins, so why some people pray but cant stay away from sins?

ANSWER: You can make dua in your Salah, both fard and voluntary, in all your sujood and in the last tashahud, before making salam and in your own language, providing you don’t know how to make that particular dua in Arabic.

QUESTION: I wanted to ask if when we are done with our prayer and we are sitting on the musallah and suddenly we pass gas , is it still okay to do our adkaar or is it disrespectful? Should we go make wudu again?

ANSWER: No problem in continuing doing the adkhar while you are not in the state of wudhu.

QUESTION: If my journey will start at the time of Asr, can I shorten and combine Asr prayer with Dhuhr and pray the two at the time of Dhuhr before leaving for the airport

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible as you’re still within your city limits and not considered a traveller! Shortening the prayer would render it invalid
