QUESTION: I know that Tahiyyatul masjid is wajib on muslim when he enters masjid.Is it wajib all the time when I come to masjid to join congregation or once in a whole day?

ANSWER: Every time you enter the masjid and want to sit down. If you enter it and join the congregation immediately, there is no need to offer it after the fard prayers.

QUESTION: How to pray Sunnah arawatib while traveling. (In case if you receive this question twice I sent the first time it’s say failed to send. I have no intention of breaking the rules sir).

QUESTION: Sheikh. I have cash that is Alhamdulillah above the Nisab. I also have 25 grams of gold (which is below the Nisab). Must I combine the dollar value of both and pay Zakat for everything or only pay Zakat on the cash I have? Basically, do we pay Zakat on the total value of all our Zakatable assets or do we pay Zakat on only assets above the Nisab?

ANSWER: You must add the gold to the cash and give zakat on both.

QUESTION: Sheikh, should we only recite the iqama’ (alone) before fard prayers or for the Sunnah’s too .

QUESTION: While I recite a Surah (after Al-Fatiha) sometimes (in silent rakah) what happened is that the Imam finished his recitation and went for the Ruku but I’m just in the middle of my Surah. And other times I finished my Surah way before the Imam. So until the Imam says takbeer I remain silent. What to do in both of these cases?

ANSWER: 1. You follow the imam in ruku immediately even if you only finished half of the surah. 2. Instead of standing idle, recite another short surah.

QUESTION: Sheik my Allah bless you and your family always. My question concern last 2 verses of Sura 9. A local imam says the following 1. Last 2 verses were added to Quran by shaitan after death of our Nabi died 2. The words Rauf and Rahim belongs to Allah and cannot be given to our Nabi 3.This person leads Salah. Should we pray behind him. Is he a kafir ? Please help with answer.

ANSWER: Whoever says such a thing has done blasphemy and is out of the fold of Islam and its not permissible at all to pray behind him or even to consider him Muslim.

QUESTION: Please can I do dhikr with my tasbah while listening to khutbah on Friday?

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and would render your Friday as rewardless.

QUESTION: Sheikh, I read on IslāmQa (Hanafī Fiqh) that it is allowed to touch the ears during Takbīr to ensure the Sunnāh of having hands near ears is done properly. Is this ruled out as a Bidd’āh or this exception is accepted?
