QUESTION: The imam of my local mosque shaves his beard. I heard that you cant let someone who shaves his beard lead prayer. Do I go to another mosque or not?

ANSWER: The prayer is valid, however everyone should talk to the management about it as the imam should be a role model in following the sunnah and not in openly sinning like this even if he is the best in memorizing the Quran.

QUESTION: There is a place in the boundary of Makkah called Aziziyah ..is a swalaat performed there equivalent to the same 100,000 rewards as performed in masjid Al haram? does it count as the ruling of being in the same sanctuary? it seems that its in the same district

ANSWER: No. It’s counted only in the masjid al haram premises and the rows that are connected during salah.

QUESTION: If I have to be somewhere before Fajr time it’s possible for me to pray my fajr in a car whiles siting when it’s time comes ?

QUESTION: I do not work but I am given gift money year-round and I was wondering if Zakat is obliged on me even though these are not my individual earnings. This money is from graduation, Eid, and the likes. I use this money for personal needs/wants.

ANSWER: If this money reaches the nisab then yes, you must pay zakat on it, whether it’s your hard earned money or gift.
