When should I recite Surah Al fatiha while standing behind the Imam. Is it when the Imam is reading out loud or silently and should I recite while the Imam is reciting his own suratul fatiha or afterwards and what if am not able to complete my recitation before the Imam goes to ruku, is my salat still valid? ANSWER: You should start reciting Fatiha when Imam finishes reciting his Fatiha, when Imam recites, one should listen in the loud rakah. In Silent rakah you must recite your own Fatiha without which your salah is not valid.
