sheikh my brother’s wife was in labor on Monday 24th at night but gave birth by 2:30am so what is the actual day she gave birth Monday or Tuesday and when should the naming ceremony be held.

ANSWER: According to the Arabic calendar, new day starts after maghrib. This means that it was Tuesday night and the naming should be done Monday morning.

If one talks during khutba (jumuah khutba)….does it make his prayer invalid?!

Say im wearing sandals where the toes are exposed while performing salat. Is it okay if my toes don’t touch the ground duing sujud?

If I recite subhanallah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu akbar 34 times, after completing fard and sunnah salah, inspite of being recited after fard Salah.. it would be Okk?

ANSWER: You must read these athkar just after fardh prayers and not after sunnah.

i have heard it is permissible to sacrifice goat for aqeeqah.does the goat have to be 1 year old for the aqeeqah to be accepted or can the goat be any age?

ANSWER: The age of a sheep is minimum 6 months and the age of a goat is minimum one year.

Sheikh i still didnt understand what to recite inside the last rakah of witr. In my previous question you just told the number of rakats. But what to recite in the last rakat. I have been told to recite surah fatiha thn ikhlaas nd raise ur hands, say Allahu akbar and recite any dua thn go for ruku. Is it correct?

Sheikh, I have started a job and earning a decent amount mashallah. But i’m not married and yet living with my parents. Do i need to give zakat as an individual or if my father gives zakat that will suffice mine?

ANSWER: If your savings reach the nisab and if one whole lunar year passes over it then you’re eligible for zakat, whether you live with your parents or alone.

My question is about zakat. How to calculate it? Jewelries even if others are gift? A Flat (not yet fully paid just started paying monthly) A land which is fully paid by me but the title not transferred yet to my name All the money on hand and in the bank after what is left upon Paying debit and other expenses?

ANSWER: Zakat is owed on all the gold you possess if it reaches the nisab (85 grams) whether it is a gift or even if it is gold that you use. There is no zakat on the flat if it’s not being displayed for sale.
