QUESTION: Approximately how long was the Prophet’s prayer (Peace be upon him)? If someone’s prayer may exceed twenty minutes when just praying fardh, is it normal?

ANSWER: We don’t have an estimate for the length of the prophet’s prayer salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. 20 minutes can be acceptable if someone is praying alone and he is not repeating things or doing things out of OCD.

QUESTION: The recommendation in quran of Reciting quran is at tahajjud or after fajr? Or do we hv to recite in Salah or except the Salah ?

ANSWER: If you are referring to the ayah of the Quran being witnessed, this is related to fajr prayers.

QUESTION: Sheikh if someone lost his wudu during jummah or congregation then he makes wudu then comes back to find the prayer ended. will he still get the reward of praying with the imam

QUESTION: The Imam mistakenly said the Takbeer to stand up after the third rakat of Maghrib. The followers on the first floor stopped him, and he sat down. But we, on the second floor, didn’t know that, so we stood up until the Imam made salam. Then we sat down and concluded our prayer on our own. Is it okay?

ANSWER: This makes no sense! Why did you stand when you knew he was standing for the 4th? If you thought he was standing for the 4th yet still followed him in that, your prayer is invalid.

QUESTION: We know it is sunnah to make ruku,standing after ruku,sijdah,sitting in between two sijdah almost equal in length.But if I want to make very big sijdah to make dua how can I make standing after ruku same in length.We know we can say Subhana rabbi al Atheem and rabbighfirli as many times as we want but is there anything like this in that position also?

QUESTION: Is it permissible if I do not know where the impurity is, but know the trousers are impure to just clean where the impurity has ‘probably’ befallen.

ANSWER: If you are certain that there is a najasah but you don’t know where, some scholars say it is sufficient to wash the area most likely you believe the najasah is at. Other scholars say that you need to wash the whole trousers and I am inclined to this opinion.
