Im a married woman and belong to a practicing muslim family Alhamdulillah.my husband doesnt pray namaz except for jumuah and sometimes even miss that as well..he does fast and pays zakat,but for salah he says i dont think i need to to do the same thing 5 times a day..we try to explain him but he becomes argumentative and loud..please tell me what do i do

ANSWER: It doesn’t matter. As long as they behave and they came early, they can stand wherever they want.

What is the most authentic opinion concerning the obligation of paying zakatul maal on behalf of minors? I have read that the majority regarded it as obligatory but for example imam Abu Hanifa and sheikh Al Albani did not do so. The arabic word الصبي is used in this regard but to which age refers this? Is this from the birth until puberty?

ANSWER: It’s obligatory to pay zakat for minors and insane people as well as long it reaches nisab and stays for a whole hijab year.

ANSWER: You must remove them once they grow. There is no length mentioned. It shouldn’t be long and usually once a week is sufficient to shave it.

The imam of my masjid, during the course of ruku’,while going down,stops in the middle of the journey for a second maybe because of a back issue,then continues going down and he does this almost everytime.In prayer,i definitely START ruku after him but because he pauses in the middle and i dont, it is possible that i reach final ruku position before him.If this happens, would my prayer be valid?

ANSWER: The sunnah is that the follower doesn’t move until the imam has reached the final stage of his movement. This means that if he is going for sujood, the follower doesn’t begin to bend his back until the imam’s forehead has touched the ground. This is cascaded in all other movements.

I work in Oil rig and coverall gets super dirty and I make wudu in home and then wipe my shoes whenever my wudu broken. Is it permissible to pray like that with dirty coveralls and wiping?

ANSWER: No problem as long as your clothes don’t have any impurity (oil is not an impurity) and that you had worn your shoes when you were in the state of wudu.

ANSWER: No problem in giving Sadaqah however, it is not permissible to give zakat to those who you are obliged to spend on, which is your parents. You can give zakat to your poor siblings if you won’t inherit them when they die.

My menses start at the end of each month (or one day or two before or after). It starts with pink/red discharges and then after a few hours or after a day I see the flow of blood. The ending of my menses is the same. After about four days of flowing blood, I see spotting and then in one day, I am pure. Are the spots in my case considered part of my period and I should stop praying/fasting?

ANSWER: You can pray dhuhr as soon as the time for dhuhr enters, regardless of when the khutbah has started or when they pray Friday prayer in the masjid. Congregation at the masjid has got nothing to do with your prayer at home.
