QUESTION: There is a hadith where the prophet (pbuh) says that what your heritege is does not matter, all of you came from adam and adam came from dust. i understand the meaning of the hadith until the prophet (pbuh) said “and adam is from dust” does that mean that there is no difference between the creation of allah whether it’s a human, or dust, or a piece of wood in rank except in piety?

ANSWER: It means don’t claim superiority over other humans by lineage; you’re all from Adam, and Adam from dust. Superiority among humans is only by taqwa, while different creations still have different ranks by Allah’s decree.

QUESTION: Do we do the action for the sake of Allah or for the reward? We know that if you help a brother in this life allow will help you in the afterlife. My q is before helping the person, Do we have to intend or think that if I help him now Allah will help me later or do I just do it for the sake of Allah?
