QUESTION: Sheikh i am a female and a small business owner who sells crochet gifting items via instagram I tap some white collared females give them work so that they can earn from their home and crochet for me But many times i receive orders from men for their girl friends and some times for anniversary and birthdays am i sinful if i sell to them? But the nature of my product is completely halal!

ANSWER: If you know for certain upfront that they want to give it to their girlfriend or to be used in a haram occasion, you must not sell it to them. But if you don’t know and they don’t tell, you must not ask and you can sell it to them.

QUESTION: My friend gave a software job interview which had 1 test and then 5 online interview rounds. He did all the rounds by himself, but in the final round, he briefly took unauthorized help from his tablet for 1-2 questions (lasting 4-5 minutes out of 45 minutes of interview). He received the offer but is feeling guilty about it. Is the income from the new job halal?

ANSWER: He is sinful for cheating but if he is qualified for the job and meets the expectations or exceeds them, his income is halal

QUESTION: I have recently started to practice islam. I noticed that my job slightly deal with riba. Now do i have to immediately left my job? Or can I search for Allah’s mercy means a halal sources of income whille working my current job? With a strong niyah to left my current job as soon I manage other halal source?

QUESTION: I’ve applied for a job and told the boss that i want to pursue it, because ive regarded it as better for me from an islamic perspective in comparison to the job i had before. My father did not approve of it and still does not approve it. My question is was it blameworthy for me to go for this job and telling the boss i want to start, even though my father did not allow it.

ANSWER: As long as the job is halal, you don’t need your father’s permission for it!

QUESTION: If my aunt asks me to buy soap for her, and I buy it and then sell it to her while keeping some profit for myself, is this halal for me to do?

ANSWER: If your income is from promoting such a product and you are being paid for doing so and you use haram means such as music, your payment and income is haram

QUESTION: I would also like to know if, in a kafir country, it is permissible to offer a job to a needy muslim or non muslim woman where she may have to meet with people?
