QUESTION: If I’m buying a flat through instalments and the seller charges rent based on the unpaid percentage — for example, if I’ve paid 70% of the price, I pay rent only on the remaining 30% — then is that rent considered a form of interest?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as you cannot have two deals in one transaction. If you had bought it, you should only pay the remaining 30% and not a rent!

QUESTION: I ordered some food at a shop. By the time it was prepared the Jummah adhan was called. I paid him during the adhan. Is that wrong?

ANSWER: If this was the first athan, there is no problem in that. But if this was the second athan which directly proceeds the Sermon, this is sinful and the transaction is void.

ANSWER: You must avoid free mixing as they are non-mahram to you. Simply stand away from them. If you are asked, you can answer while lowering your gaze and limiting the conversation to the best of your ability.

ANSWER: No.

QUESTION: When we go to other cities we stay in hotels… We use the soaps, shampoos, teabags, tissues etc. that are available in the rooms of hotels. We use half of them and we carry the remaining little items with us when we leave the hotel.. Is it permissible to carry the remaining half items? because we pay a lot of rent there in the hotel.

QUESTION: I work in a fast food restaurant. so we have an option that if we want to buy something from restaurant, we get 50% employee discount, but sheikh when I get something from the store so my manager refuses to take money, so are these items halal for me to consume? please note that she is just a manager who works like us there& isn’t the owner of that restaurant.
