ANSWER: This is not permissible as these short forms have no meaning. You should write it in full or you can skip it but must not write the abbreviations.

QUESTION: Almost all of my newborns clothes are gifts and many got cartoons images e.g sheep, sun with smile, cow.I want to raise him upon deen since young and i try not put on him such clothes but sometimes many get dirty and am left with those. What do u advice me?

ANSWER: Fabric paint or sew on the facial features to cover it and then you can use those clothes It is permissible to give children toys that have the shape of humans or animals. It is not permissible to have these drawings on the clothes of children.

QUESTION: If I take my family like mother, sister, daughter or wife to makkah, can they do tawaf or umrah alone or is it compulsory for them to do it with the mahram.

ANSWER: No problem in doing it alone. What is not permissible for them is to travel to Makkah without a male mahram.

QUESTION: My teacher is taking internal exam and quiz will be on our phone . Can I cheat in this exam ? as him taking on phone simply signifies that we can look. Some teacher take this internal exam just for formality and I think he is one of them.

ANSWER: If the teacher and the school allow open book exams and allow you to open your books during the exam, this is permissible You need to check with them first.

QUESTION: Sheikhs from our country have said that the national anthem have shirk in it. I am a student. At my school at the very first an assembly takes place. There the national anthem is sung. If i don’t attend the assembly i may get scolded. We also have to salute the flag. Is any of it shirk?

QUESTION: I am an international student in london and I am not able to find halal jobs . I am about to run out of cash . I am in dire need of money . In this situation is it permissible to work in a place selling non halal meat .or do delivery. They might have pork or other non Halal meat

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to do haram work! If they sell pork, it is prohibited to work there. If they sell other meat without a halal certificate, this is permissible as it is a Christian country and the meat is halal until proven otherwise.

QUESTION: Can I give interest money as wedding gift? Usually we gift the money envelope after having the wedding buffet.

ANSWER: This is not permissible as its a major sin that whoever does it is cursed by Allah You can bleach the excess hair if you wish but you must conceal it in front of non mahram men and while going out.

QUESTION: I have a friend who casually keeps singing English songs, all in their accent and all..I try 2 tell her tht dis is imitating the disbeliever, so kufr. She says its allowed to sing without instruments. How should I advise her? This is kufr right?

ANSWER: This is not kufr. You are not allowed to speak without knowledge like this as this is one of the most heinous sins in Islam according to 7:33 If you are a male, you must break all communication with her as it is not permissible to be “friends” with the opposite gender.
