QUESTION: I go to the Baber every 2 weeks and everytime the barber shaves the little hair under my side burns. It is not alot and it’s a little light but still has somewhat a dark color. Is it haram to shave it at 13 years old? Because I’m not sure when exactly the beard starts growing. If it’s fine at my age what age is it best to leave it

ANSWER: Sideburns are part of the beard and you must not touch them let alone shave them especially if you are an adult and had reached the age of puberty

QUESTION: My mother is mentally, physically and emotionally ill, her life is really bad. She’s depressed because of the stress in her life. She’s also very angry when I try to practice Islam. I’m scared that she might get worse and might even die. I’m one of the big reasons why she’s like this. Would I be sinful if I do sins like tabarujj or lying so that she doesn’t get worse.

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible at all as there’s no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of displeasing and disobedience to Allah!! Either your mother would enter hell alone or you will accompany her! This is your choice.

QUESTION: Sheikh, I want to ask if I can wear garments like you wear in Ask Zad only on Fridays, considering that I live in India and the custom is to wear Islamic clothes on Fridays, Eid, etc., and to go to the masjid in my university and other places wearing such clothes.

ANSWER: Maybe some dye was mixed in the henna powder that formed a layer. Wudu is not valid if the layer is formed as this would block water from reaching the skin.

ANSWER: This is not permissible as its a major sin that whoever does it is cursed by Allah You can bleach the excess hair if you wish but you must conceal it in front of non mahram men and while going out.
