As you know many women nowadays come up with many ways to shape their eyebrows as long as it is not plucking like bleaching, whitening the bottom etc but they all have the same effect of shaping the eyebrows. I don’t do any of those Alhamdulillah nor indoors nor outdoors.But family always criticize and say that I am too extreme. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as you don’t believe they have some effect on us as this would mount to shirk.

Can we apply food items to our body and hair for health and beautification, then wash it in the bathroom? People believe that if we do that we will be cursed by the food and Allah.

ANSWER: No problem.

Where I’m from, some scholars say hair extensions are allowed so long as it’s not human hair or looks like your hair e.g horse hair so things like wool,Brazilian wool or thread are allowed.Some say it is allowed so long as it doesn’t exceed your natural hair length and others say It’s completely prohibited. A lot of us braid as protective styling. Please clarify.

I got chemical henna applied, not knowing it sets a layer on skin,i found out about it after some days, i had done ghusl to remove major impurity(menses) in those days, is the ghusl and prayers following it not valid meaning i do ghusl again with tayammum? i hope this can be excused and valid due to ignorance.. note: this layer can be felt and be peeled off on some of the parts, others not

ANSWER: The ghusul is invalid and one must repeat it and perform tayammum for not washing that area covered by this layer.

ANSWER: I don’t know what this is. If it peels the skin, this is not permissible. If one believes that such a stone has secret powers or the likes, this can be shirk!

I know plucking of eyebrows is haram but what is to be done if someone has extremely thick eyebrows. What is the upper and lower limit above which the hair will not be considered part of eyebrow. I mean what about the hair that grow as down as on the eyelids so what should we do about them?? Can we remove those growing on lids?? Kindly specify the upper and lower limits.
