Ablution (Wudhu)

QUESTION: Sheikh, when I make wudu at home and then put on long socks, I later wipe over them for ease when I renew my wudu. But when I’m outside, I always see people washing their feet instead of wiping over their socks. Is there more reward for washing the feet when it’s easy to do so, or is wiping over the socks equally rewarding?

ANSWER: No problem in wiping it for convenience & the reward is not lesser due to this

QUESTION: If I have makeup that’s not water proof and I want to perform wudu then would my wudu be valid?What if the makeup doesn’t come off(Foundation,eye liner and lipstick) then is it valid?

ANSWER: If it forms a layer on your skin, the water is blocked from reaching your skin then the wudu is invalid. You must wash it off & then make wudu

ANSWER: If you wash it thoroughly, this is sufficient in Sha Allah unless there is still a layer that prevents water from reaching your skin. In this case, you must remove it or the wudhu is invalid.

QUESTION: What should the khaatib do if he spoils his ablution during Khutbah.

ANSWER: It is not a condition for the khutbah to be in the state of purity but it is recommended. Therefore, he can finish both khutbah and then appoint someone else to lead the prayers while he rushes to perform wudhu.

QUESTION: Some people are saying that we have to wash mouth and nose simultaneously like with a handful of water mouth and nose like that 3 times some are saying first 3 times mouth and 3 times nose in wudu which one is correct?

ANSWER: Doing it simultaneously is the sunnah but the other way is also permissible.

QUESTION: In the past I made mistake. When I get sick of typhus and cold, I use tayammum instead of warming up the very cold water that I can’t bear to pray Fajr . How do I fix this now? I’ve been doing that for days in that time, but I don’t know exactly how many times

ANSWER: If you were able to perform wudhu and you did not and instead performed tayammum without a legitimate reason, such prayers are invalid. You should move on, ask Allah for forgiveness, repent to Allah and feel deep sincere remorse and pledge not to do that again.

QUESTION: I know that it is impermissible to pray nafl between asr and maghrib, but if i make wudu and pray 2 raka of the wudu sunnah because I feel Satan is whispering bad thoughts, is this also impermissible since I’m not sure if you can pray the sunnah wudu any time

ANSWER: No problem in praying this during forbidden times as it has a legitimate reason to it.

QUESTION: Is it permissible to wipe over the socks even if there is no like abnormal hardship? Like I’m just at home, and it’s hard for me to do literally anything cuz like yeh that’s just me.

ANSWER: No problem in washing it once as this is from the sunnah

QUESTION: If I perform normal wudu and 6-7 hours later if I’m leaving my house i put on socks and when I’m putting on my socks I’m in the state of wudu, would it be permissible for me to wipe over my socks for wudu after that or do I need to wear my socks immediately after I perform normal wudu?

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as you are in the state of wudu when wearing the socks even if you put them on after 10 hours
