ANSWER:

This is totally prohibited. Inheritance is not divided according to man made laws or according to the desires of the family or parents. It is divided as Allah has prescribed it and anyone who goes against that would be going against the will of Allah and would be severely tormented on the day of judgment if he acknowledges it is a sin. But if he insists that it is correct and doesn’t care about Allah’s legislation, such a person can be an apostate. 

QUESTION: My parents basically are singling me out of inheritance because I basically married out of my own choice twice, my second marriage is successful, also because I had a drug user past, but alhamdullilah I’ve changed for many years now with a son and a beautiful wife whilst staying steadfast on my deen. My brother is getting half a million in inheritance, what does Islam say?
