What are exactly considered musical instrument. Say for example if someone is striking hands against table or wall and producing melody would that be considered as musical instrument too?. If not then what are musical instruments exactly?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. It’s only permissible for young kids to play with. It is permissible to give children toys that have the shape of humans or animals. It is not permissible to have these drawings on the clothes of children.

In a recent Q&A you said that thinking/playing kufr songs in mind is not kufr. But I am curious to know that if someone owing to thinking about such songs mistakenly ends up singing the lyrics will that be kufr?Many such songs are not wholly about kufr only a line or two are kufr and other lyrics are okay… So if someone ends up singing those parts of normal lyrics?

ANSWER: If you believe in such lyrics, you are a kafir. If you sing it without believing in it, this is sinful but not kufr as kufr requires belief.

If a person plays/sings songs in his mind which has words of Shirk and Kufr but he does not say it with mouth only that song plays in his mind will this be considered as minor or major shirk or kufr or will he be sinful? Please specify.

ANSWER: This is not kufr. However, one must refrain from doing this as it might eventually lead him to sing it verbally and then satan would make him listen to songs. Enjoying such kufr words indicate that there is a seed of hypocrisy in his heart that is growing strongly.

ANSWER: This is not kufr but it’s not permissible to act in dramas and totally prohibited if it has both girls and boys or if you have to dress up as the opposite gender, if it has music etc.

Is it permissible to paint our room in according to our favourite team, it will be red and blue stripes and there will be logo of the team and bed sheet also, but there will be no living creatures picture or anything!

ANSWER: No problem in not inviting the poor if this is not done out of arrogance. However, he should focus on inviting righteous people, regardless of their financial status.

In India/Pak b4 wedding, functions like Haldi (put turmeric to bride, every1 wears yellow dress, bride does not change yellow dress 3+ days, stage is set for bride, etc) & Henna where everyone wears green clothes.
