My family is forcing me to do education on riba based loan. I refused to do so. My mother started crying and said she’s dead to me. Everyone is elder and they are forcing me to do it. They don’t follow the Shaira rules and said to me you don’t know about life. Please I need advice what should i do.

ANSWER: Remain steadfast on Islam and don’t be intimidated or pressured as pleasing people while displeasing Allah would cause your failure and destruction in this life and in the hereafter. Do not compromise Islam for anyone, even your parents but be dutiful to them and respectful while holding your grounds.

My brother wanted to buy a house with mortgage, and since he had bad credit score he asked if i would become co-borrower. I agreed considring with my credit score it would reduce his interest rate on the mortgage. Note, i do not own the house, and i do not pay mortgages rather its fully his and i am just a co-borrower on paper. My question is whether am i sinful in helping my brother buy a mortgage

ANSWER: Of course you are totally sinful for signing on such papers and a partner in Allah’s curse to him and to you, equally!

I work as an advertiser for a real estate agent here in America and my job is to bring him clients that want to buy homes. One of the questions I ask the home buyers is “if they’re approved for mortgage by a lending company. As it is know here in America usually home mortgages are riba based. Am I sinful for asking these questions? I’m not involved in the loan paperwork.

ANSWER: Yes, you’re sinful and it’s not permissible for you to ask such questions nor be involved in any way in these riba based haram transactions.

If a person studied a course by taking a loan with ribaa and if he gets a job will the job and the income is haram?

ANSWER: He is definitely sinful for this Riba based loan which is a major sin but his job and income is permissible if the company and his job description is halal.

I am of age and unmarried. I have a interest based credit card and loan which requires monthly repayments. Should I focus on clearing the loans as soon as I can from the salary I get (as “legally” I am bound to pay it with interest), or should I pay only the monthly payments and focus on getting married? I feel like I should repay and get rid of usury as soon as possible, just want to be sure.

ANSWER: You must clear off your interest based loan ASAP besides sincerely repenting to Allah while showing deep remorse for this major sin and fast every alternate day if you are not able to curb your sexual desires.

Sheikh, my parents have chosen for me a life partner who works in a bank which is against Islamic Sharia and haraam earnings.I don’t want to get married whose earnings are not halal but my mother doesn’t want to accept it & constantly ordering me to agree, even she is getting angry with me & stop talking to me. because I don’t except it, what should I do in this situation? bcz i m disobeying her

ANSWER: You must not accept this proposal at all. However, you must be diplomatic, respectful and humble with your parents in all situations while not compromising on the rulings of Islam.

Sheikh almost over 2 years ago I fixed deposited some amount in my bank which is with interest and earlier that time I didn’t knew that it was haram, so what should I do when I take it out from bank now ?

ANSWER: Keep the original amount that you deposited and give away all the interest money to poor and needy muslims in order to cleanse your wealth from such haram money, besides sincerely repenting to Allah for this.

An individual offers his services to a conventional bank, such as fixing their cameras and equipments they work with or those that improve the confort of their customers. Or any service that benefits the bank. Is that halal or haram?

ANSWER: This is absolutely prohibited & one of the major sins in Islam and the income is haram as this is collaborating and assisting in evil and haram.

I’m a UK university student and as you may be aware university in the Uk is very expensive. The Country helps you by providing student finance which unfortunately contains riba. My plan was to find a part time job and try my hardest to pay my fee without getting the loan. However, I can’t find a Halal job I have to work in a supermarket with alcohol. My pay is not good for paying.

ANSWER: Getting a degree is not a prerequisite for entering paradise! Avoiding haram is.

Shykh I told one of my friends that recording interest based transaction as a chartered accountant is haram providing reference u gave me..but he tells me that how accounts department can run without chartered accountant if recording interest based transaction haram because every thing is riba based..how can I give answer or understand him?
