QUESTION: The other day I came to the masjid and I quickly prayed the 2 sunnah and then joined the imam in ruku’ is my salah valid? Since I had the option of praying sunnah later?

ANSWER: If you started your prayer while the fard prayer was ongoing, your sunnah prayer is invalid.

QUESTION: Is there any importance of gifting a prayer mat to someone as in if they pray on it we will be rewarded, also if we donate prayer mats to masjid will it be considered in sadqa jariyah?

ANSWER: The concept of gifting a prayer mat is not an Islamic concept as Allah has made the earth a place for prayer wherever we are. Thinking that we need a prayer mat to pray is an innovation. One can use it only when the ground is impure or dirty.

QUESTION: Do we get more reward if we leave the masjid after praying the fard of Zuhr, Maghrib and Isha and praying the remaining 2 rakat sunnahs and witr at home, since non Fard prayers are best if done at home or do we get more reward if we pray them in the masjid since angels supplicate for us

ANSWER: Yes, the reward for praying the sunnah at home is more.

QUESTION: My menses are irregular so the purity can come on any day. If i have midterm exams or tests in college during the days my period may end what shall i do? Miss the tests? If the period ends during the exams and i reach home with not enough time to do ghusl and pray ?

ANSWER: If the prayers are the type of prayer that can be delayed and combined to the following prayer, then you should do that and make ghusul when you reach your home. If not, you can make tayammum and pray on time.

QUESTION: Is adhan required if i live in a kafir country? The mosque is in my city but i can’t hear the adhan when i am at work or school because it is called inside of the masjid without using speakers.

ANSWER: If the athan has been called anywhere in your city, you don’t need to give it before praying even if you could not hear it.

QUESTION: There was an online delivery from Amazon that was cash on delivery during the jumuah time is this transaction haram? It was my mother’s parcel and i I didn’t know the ruling for this specific issue so I obeyed my mother.

ANSWER: Why weren’t you in the masjid? If the transaction took place while the imam was delivering the khutba, yes you are sinful and the transaction is void.
