It was narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Du’a is not rejected between the adhan and iqamah, so engage in du’a (supplication).” For men its understood as per the masjids iqamat but what is the time span fo women in this regard. Is it same as per local masjids or their personal salah?

ANSWER: It is their personal Salah that counts.

When i pray 2 rak’at prayer, in the 1st rak’at as forgetfulness if i sit instead of standing, when I started recite attahyatu I remember its my 1st rak’at only, what should i do? Stand up? Or complete the prayer with sujood as sahu? Or it could be viceversa i may stand up in my 2nd rak’at instead ot sitting. Please explain.

ANSWER: You must stand up immediately and pray the second rakah, conclude the prayer with Salam and then do sujood as sahu and then do salam again.

After the Adan we should recite the following dua. ‘Allahumma Rabba hadhihi’l-da’wat il-tammah wa’l-salat il-qaimah, ati Muhammadan il waseelata wa’l-fadeelah, wab’athhu maqaman mahmoodan illadhi wa’adtah. However,I don’t hear the adan at all where I live. I can only hear it if I am at the masjid. I was wondering if I can still recite the dua when I hear it from my phone atthe prayer time?Thanks.

ANSWER: No, you can’t because the sunnah is to repeat after the Azaan and say this dua when it is live, being given by the muazzin right then. Ask one of the men or boys to call the athan on time in your home. Kindly refer to the following link(s): https://youtu.be/QysrrvAhEgc

I have a doubt that i made my wadhu and i offered prayer tahyatul wadhu at the time 12:00am half an hour before zohor so my mother said u can pray namaz before zohar she said u cant make sajda at that time so i m little but confused plzz can u explain me can i pray or not

ANSWER: What your mother had said is not correct. The forbidden times are prohibited for prayer and not for sujood. Tahiyatul wudhu or the masjid are exempted as they have a reason for them.

I usually pray witr after isha prayers and wake up around 3am and pray tahajjud and later fajr. But a friend said that witr should be prayed after tahajjud since it should be the last prayer of the day. What’s the correct opinion on this? Im confused because i thought tahajjud was supposed to be considered the next day

ANSWER: Your friend is correct. Witr is the last prayer you pray for the night and should be prayed after tahajjud. But if you are afraid not to wake up, you can pray it before going to bed as you are doing at the moment.

Most people put on amulets, charms or taweez and also use metals like watches but are not watches they are actually charms, so if I pray behind such people when he is leading the prayer, is my prayer valid?

ANSWER: You must not pray behind a person who wears taweez, amulets and charms.

can i RECITE the DUA of ISTIKHARA seeing from a book or paper before the salam or after the salam?

ANSWER: The correct opinion is, it should be recited after salam. You can read it from a paper or a book.

Sheikh in my country (Center Asia) peole raise and touch their ear lobes while saying takbir. Alhamdulillah, I don’t do so. But it’s extremely danger cuz the people who do so are salafi and this manhaj is banned and is called as extremist mazhab. Sheikh what do you advise me?

ANSWER: Touching ear lobes in takbeer is not correct. Continue doing what the sunnah is and if the threat is real you can skip it.

Please let me know how many times tasbhee (subhana rabbiyal azeem and subhana rabbiyal aala) needs to be said in sunnah and nafl salah

ANSWER: 1 is minimum, 3 is sunnah and you can say as many times as you wish. Making dua in sujood is highly recommended.
