Sheikh I study at night and sleep after praying Fajar and Wake before Zuhar. As i feel more productive in the Night Than The Day But This verse of Quran is about the night which had been created by Allah for humankind to find peace and comfort after a day full of work and activity: “He has made the night for rest…” Quran (6:96). i wanted to know whether i am doing a sin or not.

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as you are praying all prayers on time and fulfilling all your other worldly responsibilities of the day.

Shaikh,to hold my concentration on salat,I often imagine that I am standing before Allah and Allah is in front of me and HE is seeing me and during prostration,I imagine that I am prostrating near Allah’s Feet.But I am afraid,is this kind of imagination sinful?Or should I imagine that Allah is in HIS ARSH and HE is seeing me from there during my salat?Please help me,am I doing something sinful?

ANSWER: The Muslim is not supposed to try to imagine or picture Allah, rather, he has to believe in the sublime attributes which befit His Might and Majesty in which there is none like unto Him.

What if someone purposely doesn’t take ghusul after major impurities for more than 2days and doesn’t care about his/her namaz? What is the punishment from Allah ?

Is it authentic that if we dont remove our pubic hair within 40days our prayers are invalid?

ANSWER: This is not true, however it’s sinful.

My Uncle tells me not to move my index finger during attahiyat because ghair muqallid people do that who don’t understand the hadeeths well. He also tells me don’t read hadeeths and Directly understand becoz it will cause confusion and tells to follow a mazhab than follow sunnat as I might go wrong since there are context behind it. Any Advice Sheik please?

ANSWER: Don’t listen to him as he doesn’t know anything about Islam as he is a blind follower of what his schools of thought tells him. Real muslims follow what Allah and the Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam say.

If I am not sure whether I will wake up for tahajjud, should I pray witr or leave it? Again if I pray witr and suddenly wake up in midnight and want to pray Tahajjud can I do that?

ANSWER: You should pray witr and sleep and if you wake up for tahajjud then you should pray in even numbers and not repeat the witr as witr is prayed only once per night.

ANSWER: This is not authentic.

Shaykh, you had said it’s permissible to use motor vehicles to go to the masjid quickly to catch jamaa’ah. What if I go to the masjid late, riding a normal bicycle to catch the jamaa’ah, will it fall into the prohibition of running/rushing as paddling a bicycle in high speed will make me gasp just as if I ran to the masjid?

ANSWER: Rushing to the masjid whether by walking or riding a bike which makes you gasp, this is prohibited. Driving to the masjid in a fast fashion is also prohibited. One must walk, ride and drive normally.

I get riya thoughts every time i pray in the masjid or with anyone at all even if its one person the best way for me to get away for this is to pray alone, when i do this im ok, as soon as someone comes i get thoughts of riya, its the worst when i go to the masjid & its the beginning of salah i stop & think this is for Allah but its still there what to do, it hapens so much i jst ignore it.

ANSWER: You don’t need to guess. The time for duaa is from the time of athan till when you stand up to pray your fard, despite of the iqamah of the masjid as this has no concern to you.
