If the Prayer Leader stands up for a 4th rakat of Maghrib should we follow or begin tashahhud? My imam mistakenly stood up for a 4th rakat for Maghrib last night and I followed behind knowingly because I didn’t know if I was sinful for breaking congregation. What should I do now and what should I do if it happens again?

My mum went to a mall on friday between 10:30 am – 2:30 pm. I am worried she might’ve purchased some of my things during jummah. I tried to find receipts to verify the time, but I couldn’t. Should the sales be invalid what should I do? I can’t return the items as the receipts are discarded and some of the items she’s opened. Should I give their value to charity or discard them or what?

ANSWER: No problem in this as it was a female who is exempted from attending the jum’ah prayers who purchased these things.

Deobandi aalim say that prayer will be makrooh if you pray in half sleeve shirt. Is it true?

ANSWER: This is absolutely baseless and not true!!

When I join behind an imam and I was late so he has already done the first rakaah, do I have to only follow him in his tashahhud or should I also stay sitting after his third rakaah which is my second one and do tashahhud by myself?

ANSWER: Of course you must sit with the imam and follow him in every step and when he concludes his prayer by giving salam on both sides, you must get up and pray your remaining rakahs.

Sheikh, i know that if you stop your fart in salah it makes the salah makruh. But i dont know why! On every prayer whether in ruku or sujood at least one fart will urge to come. So if i break my salah and do wudu again then start my salah again, it’ll come again. What can i do?

ANSWER: If you did not pass wind, your salah is valid and you must not break it in between. What you have heard about it becoming makrooh is totally baseless and wrong!

Is my prayer invalid if I go to ruku while reciting the last two three words of surah al fatiha?or standing up from ruku while reciting tasbeeh?

ANSWER: The rakah is invalid if you didn’t finish the fatiha while in the standing position.

After reciting the last 3 surah, blowing in the hand & wiping body– is this only before when go to bed for sleeping ? Or can we do after the Fard prayer?

ANSWER: This is only before sleeping adkhar or when you do ruqya. It is totally prohibited to do it after prayers.

Sheikh if one person always missing certain prayer like who sleeps early in that case fajr prayer or who sleeps after fajr in that case dhuhr prayer because of being a heavy sleeper! and if that person prays the missed prayer with the next prayer after waking up, does her prayer for the missed one will be valid or she needs to pray the missed prayer as soon as she gets up from sleep?

ANSWER: If he does this on purpose and does not set alarms or ask someone to wake him up then it’s not permissible to pray when he gets up if the time is gone and he’s commiting a major sin for deliberately skipping prayers.

Sheikh after I recite 3 quls during azkaar or after prayer,I blow myself.is it permissible?

ANSWER: Those prayers are time bound and they are gone now. Skipping them for illness, Allah will reward you for them as if you had prayed them.
