What is tge rule one one says if this man leaving my daughter i will fast for 2 months. The lady is about 70 years her daughter had a lot of problems with her husband. She is divorce now its about 5 years now. My question is this lady should fast for 2 months. Now she is not really that well. She has to take her medicine. Bp medicine. What can she do. Please help.

She is sinful for taking such a vow. She must expiate by feeding ten poor people.

Can I give the Money for breaking a vow to orphanage . Send it to a poor country to feed Orphans..may Allaah bless you..

As long as you are feeding 10 poor people, this is fine.

Is it ok to take oaths like saying if i get job or my this particular problem gets solves or if my mother gets cured i will offer 10 rakahs or 4 etc. rakahs of nawafil prayers??? Or like if Allah grants me this particular wish i will offer some nawafil rakahs

You must not take such vows as you are mandating something upon yourself which Allah didn’t mandate. Make general duaa to Allah instead.

I swore by the name of Allah while I was teaching and I got angry at my sisters and I swore that I’d not teach them anymore. Now I want to teach them. So what to do?

shaikh, there is a problem with some people here. when they want us to say something or someone’s secret, etc they say “i give you Allah’s kasam (swear), say this or tell me his secret” and such things and people thinking that if they don’t disclose it, it will be like breaking Allah’s oath. how to make them understand?

This is nonsense! They made the oath and they are the one breaking it and not you!

My qustion is that my husband took an oath(promise) with which he assured me he would not commit the so called sin(i dont want to mention)..but even after promising n offering salat tauba..he did not stop anyhow. i want to know what is the kufara for breaking a promise?

Feeding ten poor people.

I read somewhere that to repent one must make a ‘PROMISE’ to Allah that the person will never commit that sin again, which I recently came to knew that it is wrong. Now, when I didn’t knew this I made a promise to Allah. And unfortunately I broke the promise so do I need to do the expiation? I made the promise thinking that it is the criteria for asking for forgiveness!

Yes must feed ten poor people or clothe them. If you are unable financially to do this, you must fast three days.

Salam ,I made a oath and said if I break it I would have to fast for a month ,I broke the oath , my question is do I have to fast from the beginning of the month for example 1st of January to the end of the month 31st of January or can I start any day during the month for example the 7th of January and just fast for 31 days consecutively , also does the fasting for 1 month have to be consecutive ?

Wa alaikum salam, You can begin any day and it has to be a lunar month. If you intended it to be consecutive, it must be consecutive.
