QUESTION: If i get my period during prayer but i don’t know so i still continue the prayer does it mean i won’t get ajr for the prayer and my duas made during the prayer aren’t valid?

ANSWER: If you did not know about it until you had finished your prayer, you will be rewarded in Sha Allah.

QUESTION: Sheikh, I really wanted to fast on the Day of Arafah this year, as I learnt about the Hadith that it expiates the sins of the previous and the upcoming years, but I got my periods, which was decreed for me by Allah. Will I get the reward, will my sins be forgiven (if I verbally seek Istaghfaar) while I cannot fast?

ANSWER: Once the flow of the blood stops, you must not perform ghusul until you see the white thread like discharge or see complete dryness. This dryness is established by inserting a tampon and if it comes out clear, this is a sign of your purity.

QUESTION: I have prolong bleeding (istihadah). So, do I have to have a bath everyday or can I have a bath every 2 days to pray? Also if I still have my wudu from my last salaah, can I pray or do I have to do wudu for every salaah? Will this be sufficient? Do I have to insert cotton wool (tampon) for when I pray, or can I wear a sanitary pad while praying for my salaah to be accepted?
