If i know that my parents wealth is illegal or mixed with interest. Can i reject to take this wealth? And if i take what happen?

ANSWER: The haram income is only haram for the person earning it and not haram for you or anyone else. So, you can accept it. But if you don’t want it, you can spend it in ways of charity like supporting authentic Islamic sites and TV channels to propagate Islamic knowledge.

My father had 100 acres of land , he is still alive, we 2 brothers and 2sisters, my father has already named the land half as my property and half to my brother, now officially in the records my brother and I am the owner, after my fathers death would I and my brother be held accountable for not giving anything to my sisters of that land ?although we never asked our father to do so?

My grandfather has passed away, and his inheritance is with my father which hasn’t been yet divided. My only uncle lives in a separate country and he can’t come back. He keeps pushing me to request my father to settle the property. But my father doesn’t show interest and always keeps making excuses. I told my parents that this is wrong but they keep scolding me.

ANSWER: This is absolutely wrong and your father MUST distribute this property immediately. Your uncle can take your father to court to get his right by approaching his country’s embassy and filing an official complaint. Your father will be punished by Allah for preventing his brother from taking what Allah has given him.

I inherited about US$ 62,000 from my parents after their death. The money is in a conventional bank account and has been lying in the account for many years. Can I accept the whole money as halal or should I try to calculate the interest accumulated and take only the capital? Please advise

ANSWER: You can accept it all providing that you don’t take any interest money that occurs after their death as this is now your money and you are responsible for taking it.

My father in law has only two daughters his wife is dead and he wants to give all his wealth to his both daughters; enqually in his life time. Would vote this week according to Sharia. If not then what maximum he can give to these two daughters.

ANSWER: He can give equal portions to both his daughters while he’s still alive. However, this must be documented and they must posses this in reality as well and not just on paper.

If after the death of a person, many heirs inherit a single shop, can we pay the heirs in money the value of the share of land they would inherit from shop? Is it permissible, so that we give them the value of the share without selling it and keep the shop to our self?

ANSWER: The shop belongs to all of the heirs. Either they all agree to keep on renting it or using it and divide the profit according to their shares or they estimate the value of the shop and one of them offers to buy everyone else’s Shares.

Is it valid for my widowed mother to write a will, where she wants to donate 50% of her cash to a masjid, after she dies and leave 50% to be distributed per Sharia amongst her heirs (4 children)? I read that a person can give away up to 33% of his wealth (to an illegitimate/kafir child etc.) and not more than that. What is the correct ruling?

ANSWER: This is not valid. She can write a will of not more than 1/3rd of her total wealth.

Sheik my mother died and the jewels of her is divided between female child without consent of males. Also I gave some gold to my mother when she is alive. This is also been divided. Now the females are not giving even what I have given to my mother. Now I can ask at least what I have given to my mother not the other things.
