Sheikh, is it permissible for a person to tell people that “I was also an atheist but then ALLAH guided me to the straight path” while giving dawah to non muslims or does this fall under the category of exposing sins.

ANSWER: If such a person was a well known atheist and that was public, this is permissible. But if it was concealed and no one knew about it, this is not permissible.

ANSWER: No problem in buying it if it’s a halal product. Name does not make a product halal or haram.

I know a person who imports products (Shampoo, Turmeric powder etc) from another country. Some of them are banned to import by our government. I know he gives bribery to clear them from the airport. I buy products from him and sell it to people. Is this Haram? Is this permissable to do?

Sheikh, my sister and I want to have a challenge where we eat spicy ramen noodles, and the one who can go longer without drinking water wins, while the one who loses washes the dishes. Is this a permissible challenge to do? As this is just for fun.

My husband has decided to move to another country. I have to show my ears for the passport picture. ANSWER: If that person came to know about this, he would feel that you had cheated him and made money out of him when he was thinking that you were his friend and doing him a favor. This is not permissible unless he knows beforehand and approves it.

If I am just the landlord of a building, I don’t own the business, and that business sells pork, beer, alcohol, etc, is the money I earn from the rent Haram? (Again, I don’t operate or have anything to do with what the business sells!)

My female cousins do tabarouj and we sometimes my family has a gathering and its an open place and when they are in the same room with me most of the time i go out so can i go or must i stay in my home

ANSWER: You must not go out in such mixed gatherings as this is not permissible. Islam promotes and mandates segregation between non mahrams.

Iam from india.please pray for me to pass my final xam result. Is there sin in wearing graduation gown ( as now it has become a normal among people. And most degree has adopted it)?.i would like to know it so if it is haram ,i can find a way to not attend the graduation ceremony by making some excuses.

ANSWER: This is an issue of dispute. I am inclined to say that this is not part of the Muslims’ traditions or customs and it is entirely imitating the disbelievers. If there is music and free mixing, there is no doubt that this is totally prohibited.
