ANSWER: This is breach of the amanah, you must not use it nor do that without their prior consent

QUESTION: If there is a worker(plumber,cleaner,etc) whom 1. We know very well (or) 2. We dont know, and my mom is alone with me or with my grandmother. Is it obligatory for me to pray in masjid at that time. And If I know him like he is a old worker of ours and I don’t fear anything then can I go to masjid?

ANSWER: If your mum is not alone and your grandma is also present in the house then this is not haram seclusion. If your mum is alone you must not call the worker at prayer times as you must pray all your prayers in the masjid.

QUESTION: I cut up islamic texts with the Name of Allah and his messengers and sahaba names.Now I have read that in Radd al-Muhtar ala al-Durr al-Mukhtar, 5/271, it is said we must erase these names before shredding or burning these texts.How do I erase them, as the only water available is from the sinkand wouldn’t the ink going down the drain be disrespectful.What to do?Note:Most of these are in english.

ANSWER: You don’t need to erase them before shredding it! Also, you don’t need to do this except with Allah’s names or the Quran. The names of the companions or the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam can be disposed off without shredding or erasing.

ANSWER: If this is the bonus or incentive they give to their employees without asking for invoice or proof, this is permissible But if they require proof or invoice, only one of you can do that.

ANSWER: Ignore her anger and be firm in preserving your hijab and do not be hesitant or reluctant! Once she sees that you are firm and determined and would not compromise your beliefs, she will stop acting like this
