QUESTION: I know it’s bid’ah to celebrate birthdays and I don’t celebrate my birthdays. My colleague demands to know my birthday date and I don’t want to tell them because I feel they will celebrate or congratulate me when the time comes. Is it right not to tell them?

ANSWER: Simply tell them you don’t celebrate birthdays because your religion doesn’t permit it! You don’t need to tell them about your birthday Be proud of your religion!

QUESTION: Is working as a accountant haram, if he only has to record riba based transactions that happened in the past, and when he is checking if the financial statements are correct he needs to calculate the values that has riba in them and check if the values are correct, . and what if the software automatically records the riba based transactions. is the job still haram?

ANSWER: Being in such a state of anger is not permissible. I believe the lama which is an animal that looks like a camel does this when angry!

QUESTION: Can you please assist with references with rulings on the prohibition of handing out pork/bacon to people in a homeless shelter where there are other foodstuffs available. ANSWER: Yes you must not tag them if they include music in their posts as you would carry the sin for anyone who clicks.

QUESTION: My mother has a female maid who walks around without Niqab or Hijab nor Abaya, just in her regular clothes. I told mom She said: “Yeah, but what do I do now? I cant just fire her (maid) or make her (maid) work with Niqab on. You guys (my brother and I) can’t be on your owns closed all day as she (maid) has to eventually come to clean. ANSWER: Your mother is sinful for letting her work like this and you must avoid looking at her or being with her. Her movement must be restricted to the area you and your brother are not in and when you leave the house, she can clean the rest of it.
