QUESTION: I just wanted to know are women allowed to read & do job&become self independent by following islamic shariah as much as possible it’s confusing me cuz many scholars say it is ok but should follow islamic shariah but some say no i wanted to know what does Qur’an says about it pls sheikh iam getting a lot of waswas on this.I don’t have a back support my grandparents are my guardians

ANSWER: A woman can work but under the condition that the place should be segregated, the job must be halal, she must observe the proper Islamic hijab and most importantly her Wali must give her permission for this.

QUESTION: My uncle called me to help him but he is smoking while working can I help him

ANSWER: You should politely ask him to not smoke when you’re helping him since passive smoking is dangerous. You should also give him dawah about its prohibition from time to time, with wisdom, knowledge, fair preaching and diplomacy.

QUESTION: In my country , there is a government scheme where if I deposit money on monthly basis after few years they will give more amount than I deposited . Can I use this scheme

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited as the extra they will give is riba (Interest money) which is one of the major sins in Islam and Allah has waged a war against people who deal with riba

QUESTION: If I buy something in the market, is it permissible for me to ask for extra which I won’t pay for Like we should ask for little more when we have gotten the exact amount we paid for.

ANSWER: If the seller gives it to you willingly, this is permissible as it is considered as bargaining in some cultures.

QUESTION: In my country, there is a vehicle called a rickshaw. It is open, so people outside can easily see the passengers. In that case, is it permissible for a woman to ride alone in a rickshaw with the driver, considering that it is not enclosed like a private car and everyone can see them?

ANSWER: It is best not to but I am inclined to say that if it is open, there is no seclusion, it is safe and there is no other alternative, I pray that this is permissible
