Am I sinful for not trimming my moustache every 40 days? It’s not that long and my beard hasn’t come yet. My brother told me if I drink something and it touches my moustache, it becomes impermissible.

ANSWER: You must not exceed 40 days without trimming the mustache. However, if it got too long, it must be cut short even if it didn’t reach 40 days.

When people converted to Islam in whatever year they lost their culture n tradition. So now in many countries n cultures women wear the jilbab wer they can continue wearing their culture like Afghanistan d green dress is made into jilbab or Kashmir d traditional white n red is made into jilbab. But all dis cultures n clothes are beautfied alot with patterns, shining small things etc.

ANSWER: This is not permissible.

I wear a hijab but I also wear glasses, with my glasses there is a small opening between my head and the hijab from my glasses and sometimes a little hair can be visible if you look in. I wear a cap under my hijab but it still ends up showing. Is this negligible?

ANSWER: No, this is not negligible. It’s not permissible to reveal your forehead or any part of your hair. Cover the scarf until your eyebrows.

Is it compulsory for muslim women wear hijab/headscarf in front of non mahram males? Is Hijab/headscarf religious thing or cultural thing?

ANSWER: She is obliged to cover her whole body including her hair from non mahram men as ordered in the Quran and in the authentic hadeeths.

I am from India, in my country most of the women make holes in their ears to wear earrings. Some Islamic scholars here says piercing in any part of the body is Haram. If you do so you are considering that Allah missed to create holes in ears but Allah created human in a beautiful way by nature. Ple clarify if piercing ears of women for earrings is Haram or not?

ANSWER: This is not true. Women can pierce the ears but they must hide their ear rings before going out and in front of non mahram men.

There’s some basketball shoes by basketballer Lamelo Ball (non Muslim). The shoes’ design and patterns are inspired by his tattoos and his nickname ‘Melo’ is printed onto the shoes. Are these permissible to buy or is this glorifying a non Muslim etc?

ANSWER: This is not required at all. Allah has asked men to leave the beard and not touch it, He did not ask to grow it thick or long! Whatever comes naturally is sufficient.
