ANSWER:

You must look into the proposal and assess it from all sides and see how many boxes does he check!

If he is a truly good proposal to lose, you should reconsider and check with elders and wise people in the family for advice. 

If he does’t check a lot of the boxes, do not marry him even if your father blackmails you like this.
