QUESTION: I asked my family (parents + sisters) if I could have some of their unused items, mainly clothes they rarely wear or use since living in another city, plus things my mom impulsively buys but doesn’t use. They agreed and gave permission, though they don’t know I plan to give these items to charity (sadaqah). Is this permissible?

ANSWER:
No, this is not permissible if they are giving it to you thinking that you are going to use it.
You must be clear with them and tell them you want to give it in charity and look at how they respond to you.
