ANSWER:
A righteous child is not concerned by such remarks because he is doing what he is doing for the sake of Allah and he anticipates the reward from Him alone.
He pardons his parents due to their ignorance and he continues to give them unconditional love even if they are ungrateful. He doesn’t show them any sign or resentment or disappointment but rather remains dutiful, obedient and respectful throughout the whole time.
His reward is with Allah.
