ANSWER:

What he is doing is totally wrong as he is responsible for his children and his wife in other means than financial provision! It is his responsibility to teach them all about Islam and to raise them up to be good individuals in their communities. The wife can also claim that her responsibility is to cook and clean but not to be proactive with her husband whether in bed or during day time in terms of showing him compassion and love and care! Such a relationship is a prison sentence and not a marriage. 

QUESTION: My husband says his Only responsibility is to earn. Is that true? He doesn’t help me in any way. Me or kids I’ll not his concern, he goes out and chill with friends but demands me to fulfill whatever he orders. Is that true that I’ve to obey him ANYWAY?

QUESTION: I know that a wife is supposed to obey her husband in Islam. But if a husband doesn’t allow his wife to meet her parents even if they’re in critical condition and may die if they don’t get help, should the wife still obey him? QUESTION: I was wondering if we could rely upon scholar ibn Taymiyyah’s statement that it’s the fathers’s choice to name his children if he and his wife are in dispute as he didn’t mention the evidence to this from either Qur’an or Hadith? And in general can we rely upon scholar’s statements even if they don’t mention the evidence to their claims?
