If he did not have the money to feed till he died, you can either pay on his behalf or fast on his behalf. 

QUESTION: My father was diabetic and he couldn’t fast for many years during ramadan and at that time he couldn’t give fidya due to finanacial conditions…then in 2019 he died after being half paralyzed due to brain stroke, so should i fast on his behalf or give fidyah for his missed fasts of many years
