It is not permissible to imitate them on such an event by wearing white like they are doing so as everyone would think that you are a Hindu celebrating that festival with the Hindus 

QUESTION: I’m from India in my college every one has to wear white dress code as pre onam celebration but my father refused to buy for me because he said we should not do so. Eventhough I said him it’s like not celebrating onam it’s just to look similar when everyone wear same dress code. Please Give me an advice
