ANSWER:

She cannot get remarried while her husband is still alive.

She must approach the Islamic court and file for a missing person’s case and they would work with the authorities. If proven that he is missing, they would issue a document that he is dead and his inheritance would be distributed and she can remarry after her iddah of 4 months and 10 days

QUESTION: If two gets married and suddenly one day the husband leaves the house and his wife without any explanation. For many years No one knows where he is, he’s missing. Can the woman (wife) get married again to someone else while the husband is gone? Not sure if he is dead or not.
