ANSWER:This is totally prohibited and one of the major sins in Islam. 

It’s your right to have your father’s name with your name even if he’s a non muslim. 

QUESTION: I wanted to ask that if i am marrying someone , will i need to adopt his surname as I am revert and belong to non- muslim family.

QUESTION: I am 34 year old woman. My parents keep rejecting all proposals I get coz their expectations are too high. Recently my friend introduced a guy to my family but they rejected him too saying he has sisters and will have to give them share from the property they owe.
