There is no such thing as platonic relationship in Islam!

It’s totally prohibited to be friends with non mahram opposite gender, PERIOD!

QUESTION: I had a completely platonic relationship with a girl who was my bestfriend. Because I was focusing more on my deen, I understood that we couldnt be friends and I told her about it. We were totally just friends but I feared that I would be sinful for this as some of our conversations included talking and encouraging haram stuff like haram relationships. Would this be a just reason to leave her?
