This is regarding when they both enter a room like when visiting friends or relatives and the son disrespects his father by sitting before him. 

QUESTION: I am confused regarding the hadith of Abu Hurairah in the hadith book Adab al-Mufrad, where he tells a man to avoid three actions in front of his father. So regarding not sitting before him, is a Muslim obliged to stand up when his father comes in to the room and he is sitting down or if they are both sitting and the father gets up for a reason like going to the bathroom?
