Having said this, it is the FATHER’S RIGHT to allow his daughter to go or not to go to places! Being ten month old, this is a bit too extreme as she wouldn’t even bother with his remarks or jokes as she can’t understand it. It seems that the father has issues with your husband and it is his right to prevent his daughter from being alone with the two of you or even with you, her grandmother.
The best way to end this is to apologize to him and go down to his level of intellect and tell him that your husband will refrain from joking or commenting. He must be very formal in front of him and that him as a total stranger if that would please him.
My daughter and son in law are not allowing me and her step father to see the baby anymore. She is 10 months now and we have done everything for them.
