ANSWER: The most authentic opinion is that normal vaginal discharges are pure and do not affect wudhu.

Is a women permitted to shave her head and go bold as she has a scalp condition called Psoriasis? She has shaved her hair thinking it might help in some way to reduce the psoriasis. with this condition her scalp has developed itichiness, and patches of dandruff. What should she do if she has already shaven her hair?

I will be visiting my mothers country soon and the common clothes women wear is salwar kameez, which is loose trousers and a dress ending at the knees, is it permissible to wear this in front of non mahram men. I go to a school in a England and you are not allowed to wear the niqab in my college due to a ‘communication barrier’ however It’s a girls only school but there are some male teachers. I try to cover my face whenever i see a male teacher approaching however sometimes I don’t because I don’t see them on time or everyone stares at me and I’m shy to cover my face. Is this haram?

ANSWER: You must not attend such a school if this means you will have to jeopardize your Islam. There is no communication barrier as people need don’t need their eyes to hear with! You can always wear a medical face mask and justify this by your fear of germs or pollution etc.

ANSWER: No problem in women cutting their hair, providing they don’t cut them short enough to imitate men’s hairstyle and they must not have a haircut that is done exclusively by kafir women.

ANSWER: You are not obliged to be fully covered when alone or at home in front of your mahrams and womenfolk. There is no problem in wearing short sleeve tops showing the arms in front of your husband or when alone, especially when it is hot.

Sometimes wen we go to ppl’s houses, men come in our room (where we don’t have our hijab/niqab on). When this happens, we usually rush out or abruptly turn around to hide our faces or wear the niqab.. Its ‘rude’ n situation gets awkward.. Is wat we are doing too extreme? Shud we walk out/cover up more calmy, even if it means that men will get to see us/our faces for a bit longer?
