This is totally inappropriate to say! They might be accepted and heard! 

Sheikh, when I speak with some people here, they have the habit to make du’a on others as a joke.. Like for example if you say something funny, they laugh and say: May Allah ruin you. Or may you be handicapped. I don’t like it when they say this to me… Are their du’as accepted?
