ANSWER:

If he took an oath by taking Allah’s name, he must expiate it but if he simply made dua to Allah and was repenting from that sin, without making an oath, there is no expiation.

QUESTION: When a person promises Allah that he is not gonna commit that sin again while praying but fall in that sin again so he can repent for it or should fast for 3 days as (kaffarah)
