ANSWER:

It can be a combination of both as making them happy is a byproduct of pleasing Allah. 

QUESTION: Sheikh, when I help someone, should the thought that I am helping them and making them happy cross my mind, or should all my helping be purely for the pleasure of Allah? Does feeling glad that my help made someone happy affect my sincerity or reduce the reward?

QUESTION: A boy getting lot of proposals due to his degree. But, he unable to pass degree due to 1/2 arrears. So, he moved from it. Got a job related to what he studied, & earns well. But all people assuming he completed degree as he got top ranked in School. Is he obliged to reveal ‘he haven’t completed degree’ to his villagers, every proposal he get, or to his potential spouse?
