ANSWER:

It is not permissible to sever ties as this is a major sin in Islam. 

No problem in limiting contact and keeping healthy boundaries while checking up on her often.

QUESTION: Sheikh my sister abused me and continues to do so everytime we’re in contact. I become a different person around her. But because of my duty and insistence from my parents, I kept a distance but maintained contact. However she is incapable of having a relationship with boundaries; it’s all or nothing. Do I have the right to cut her off in this instance?
