There are duas for dunya that are specifically mentioned in the Quran and authentic hadiths like Rabbana aatina fid dunya….

QUESTION: One of my uncle told me that we should not ask Allah for anything other then his forgiveness. And it’s like embarrassing Allah by wishing for worldly things. And should shall be contented with whatever he decrees upon us. So, should we not ask Allah for anything then?
