There is no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of displeasing and disobedience to Allah. You must not obey her if she is stopping you from your religious duties.

QUESTION: My mother has severe paranoia and psychosis, forbidding and constantly fearing us from once Jumu‘ah, phones, going out or opening doors due to delusions. Refusing causes violent screaming. She lacks illness insight. I love her, but this is overwhelming. Islamically, where is the line for parent obedience here? What must I obey, and when may I respectfully refuse paranoid demands?
