ANSWER:

You must abide by the sunnah and trust Allah and ignore criticism which ignorant people send your way. 

The prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam has faced more criticism than this and was steadfast on his beliefs.

QUESTION: My close ones criticizes me for following the authentic Sunnah, such as the way I pray. Even my mother has asked me to shave my beard because of the rising Islamophobia in India (I have a slightly patchy beard that doesn’t look very good). What should I do?
