ANSWER:

You refrain from sins because Allah prohibited them. You not doing it doesn’t guarantee that they didn’t do it or won’t do it in the future.

QUESTION: Is it permissible to not do a sin for the sake wanting your future spouse to not do the same sin, for instance, you lower your gaze so you want your future spouse to also lower their gaze?
