ANSWER:

This is the law of Allah that cannot be changed because of some imbecile individuals!

They are sinful for neglecting their duties, like a father not showing interest in his daughters’ wedding etc. However, two wrongs don’t make a right! You must obey your father and be dutiful to him.

QUESTION: In Shariah women take permission from mahrams, but my father and brothers neglect responsibilities. My father even said he is dead when I asked for fees, and my brothers refuse duties. My sisters reached marriage age, yet they neglect that too. My mother supports my brothers and doesn’t teach them their responsibilities. I’m fed up. Why should we still seek permission?
